Ride Analysis

What is your reaction to the ride? I have seen videos of the Pirates of the Caribbean Shanghai ride in the past when Shanghai was just opened. My first time watching it, I was blown away by the technology and immersive quality exhibited in the ride. Since the opening of Shanghai in 2016, the technology used in the ride has been implemented in other areas and Disney parks around the world. Pirates of the Caribbean Shanghai was obsoletely  ground breaking and propelled the story telling of Disney rides forward. What connections did you make with what you just viewed? The story telling was really compelling and fast-paced. While it did not just retell the events of Pirates of the Caribbean At Worlds End, it included some of the characters and story points of the movie. I really liked the immersive quality of the ride. It utilized props, screens, animatronics, smells and lights. All these things, together, build a world that you can step in and enjoy for a while. That is the pinnac

Tracta

Tracta is a smaller planet, about 4,000 miles at its equator, that lies in the Torma solar system. Here it orbits Torma’s one sun, and its seasons are in constant fluctuation. The planet is consisted of a deep body of water and several large islands. These Islands, each an inhabited territory, move freely on top the body of water, rapidly cycling through climates. The ever-changing weather is due to the planet’s large moon and the moon’s extensive oval orbit. Living under such conditions may sound like chaos, but the inhabitants have adjusted to life on these mobile islands. In order to survive the unpredictable nature of their habitats, Tracta’s wild life are able to adapt to the sudden changes. There is an island on Tracta called Glem, that has a very diverse landscape. Vast flatlands stretch out across it, surrounded by grand mountains. The main soil found on the island is rocky and orange, and is often is covered by the blue snow that regularly falls. On Glem th

On the Island of Glem there are creatures residing there that have adapted well to their harsh environment. Glem's landscape is vary diverse. I has vast flatland surrounded by mountains. The main soil is a orangish rock that is created by the blue snow that often fall upon it. On Gleb there are shelled creatures called Silvious. Their shells are reflective so when the weather gets cold, they bury themselves making sure that their shells are exposed. The shells absorb the heat from the sun and this keeps them warm. These are slow creatures but are very able to traverse multiple types of terrain. Their main food source is the Albus. These are translucent like flying creatures. They rest, utilizing their slime, by attaching to their favorite food source, the Clement tree. The clement tree is a fruitful, but leafless tree that is strong enough to withstand the harnesh of winter and summer. It’s when Albus lie dormant that the Silvious capture and eat the Albus. Tracta’s seasons are in constant change, this planet is consisted of a deep body of water and on the water are several large islands. These Islands, each a territory, move freely on the body of water cycling through the climates at a high rate, often the weather will drastically change day to day. This is due to the planet’s Large moon and the moon’s large oval orbit. The islands are ever moving. This may sound like chaos, but the inhabitants are used to the unique cycles their land takes. The wild life had to become very adaptable to be able to survive every weather situation. Depending on the track of movement an island takes effects the island’s terrain. A island that rotates in near the northern pole has a more arctic terrain then an island the cycles through a movement close to the equator. Some Island have more drastic weather c

Village of Felinica

Image
Beneath the City of Emeralds there lays a village of cats called Felinica. Their village is composed of a complex network of tunnels beneath the city. These tunnels lead up to the surface and out into the city. You see, these cats had a job to do. They were to keep the mice from the nearby field mice dwellings out of the city. The people of the City of Emeralds hated mice like many people do and the Wizard of Oz proclaimed to the people that because of his great power, the mice will never again return. But in reality, he hired the stealthiest of cats to keep them away. In the tunnels of Felinica, there are off shoots that lead to cozy dwellings that resemble caves that the cats reside in. The cats work at night mostly and sleep during the day. These dwellings are small and warm. This is due to the lack of space under the city and the heat radiating out from the city pipes, but cats love that so it is perfect. Along with the cat’s individual houses there is a town
