Village of Felinica

Beneath the City of Emeralds there lays a village of cats called Felinica. Their village is composed of a complex network of tunnels beneath the city. These tunnels lead up to the surface and out into the city. You see, these cats had a job to do. They were to keep the mice from the nearby field mice dwellings out of the city. The people of the City of Emeralds hated mice like many people do and the Wizard of Oz proclaimed to the people that because of his great power, the mice will never again return. But in reality, he hired the stealthiest of cats to keep them away.

In the tunnels of Felinica, there are off shoots that lead to cozy dwellings that resemble caves that the cats reside in. The cats work at night mostly and sleep during the day. These dwellings are small and warm. This is due to the lack of space under the city and the heat radiating out from the city pipes, but cats love that so it is perfect. Along with the cat’s individual houses there is a town hall. The town hall is crapped but is definitely the most swanky building in Felinica with white brick making up the from wall. The mayor resides here. His job is to make sure the cats rights are unhealed by the Wizard. The Mayor is old, maybe too old to keep up with his job. He makes mistakes, but his team, composed of his younger soon to be hares, are there to help.

Felinica is run like a military establishment. They take their jobs very seriously and have great pride in their work. Everything is run like clockwork. The cat in charge of is all is the Sargent Major Gung. He is a rugged cat who has obviously, by his appearance, seen many battles. Back in the day, he fought side by side with his human compatriots. He is very experienced and knowledgeable and is a great leader.
